Netiquette Assignment

Netiquette- A set of rules (mainly manners) to use while on the internet.
Netiquette affects many people, for example: When you're on Facebook and you keep posting statuses and you're not using correct grammer or just not spelling things right, it affects everyone that is reading your posts. (Try to spell best to your ability, no one likes when you spell things incorrectly on purpose.)
                                            ^^Good netiquette.    ^^Bad Netiquette
Good Netiquette is basically using your manners online. And Bad Netiquette is when you don't use any manners at all, and you feel like you can say anything to people if its mean or not. Bad Netiquette is when you are in a "Flame War." That means you're in a argument online with someone or you're cyber bullying them. Both are big NO NO's online.

Downloading Music (Copyright)

Downloading music can be illegal. There are websites that you shouldn't use because they can get you in a lot of trouble. For example Limewire, Napster etc. These sites are illegal to use because you are getting music without paying for it. If you get caught with illegal music in your possession you will get charged with some really intense fines, and possibly some years behind bars.  Even burning a copy of a C.D. for a friend is illegal, because they didn't pay for it. Why? Because you don't have the musician/author/artist/directors permission to be selling copies of their things. Copyright is not a joke, you will get caught and you will get fined from the government and possibly even the creator of whatever you're selling illegally.

Copyright

James Cameron wins Avatar copyright case

In this case James Cameron was took to court by Elijah Schkeiban. Elijah tried to say that James took his ideas from one of his stories. James's lawyers had successfully argued that it is not possible to copyright such elements as a 'weak hero' and a plot twist in which the 'bad guys attack the good guys.' So James Cameron obviously won the case.

Country Project- Australia

My favorite part of the project was getting to pick what country I wanted to do. I've always wanted to visit Australia. And now that I have done some research on it and saw all the beautiful pictures I cant wait till I can visit there one day. I learned a lot about this country that I didn't know. Like the road on the side of the mountain, I never would of thought of looking something like that up. There wasn't really anything difficult to research. Some strong points in my power point were the pictures I think. I'm the kind of person that likes to see the place and not really read about it. There were a lot of weak points in my project. Like during the presentation I didn't look at anyone and I was really quite. I hate talking in front of the room, I'm not big on being the center of attention. I think some pointers for Mrs.Fowler is to do something a little more fun, like Favorite TV shows, or something that will keep the students interested.
